Yet again building the forgotten password flow, its hurts to use a UX and tech pattern that is so broken
@glennjones How do we fix the forgot password UX?
@jaygooby sounds good, @glennjones can you see any reason not to do it this way? @ckorhonen @blaine

@yandle apart from the time to build it, maybe a good #indiewebcamp project, mix @blaine auth idea with IndieAuth. Would need to work on UX

@jaygooby @ckorhonen yes, I like the @poetica concept and UX, but still does not get around private data loss

@glennjones @ckorhonen @blaine because of email disclosure or use of 3rd party IDPs like Google?

@ckorhonen I would of loved to have seen Mozilla Persona develop to a point of real traction, it had promise

@glennjones Persona seemed like it required too much effort from the user and the developer, I don’t think it was the right implementation.
@glennjones I like where Apple is going with Touch ID APIs and iCloud keychain for apps in iOS 8, great if you’re in their ecosystem…
@glennjones For most things these days I tend to use FB/Twitter/Google auth, nice balance between convenience and security

@ckorhonen its a 'wicked problem' utility/speed against bleeding private data and bad security. The cost to user is obscured so its goes on

@glennjones Pretty excited about this one myself. :) Unlike others which fill niche roles, I think this might be able to reinvent the cloud.
